PEOPLE ARE NOT BLUFFING AS OFTEN AS YOU THINK THEY ARE!
This week's poker hand features a typical start to any top pair, top kicker hand in
position. As we know these hands tend to win many small pots in no limit holdem but
are vulnerable to better hands. In many cases we don't want to go to war in a big pot
with only a pair.
These hands make many players uncomfortable, and they sometimes result in large
losses. Watch as I am raised off of a pot with top pair on a dry board by what is
normally a passive player. I have no problem folding in this situation.
Your win rate will improve if you know when to draw the line with your top pair hands.
Remember - YOU decide how much money you want in the pot. If things aren't going
your way, then show them your back (fold).
